Encor

2023 — Self-oscillating sound installation

Encor is an electroacoustic experiment about modes of vibration and feedback. This undesirable looping phenomenon is tamed to make the imposing steel plate resonate. The metal surface then becomes a geographic space, a topography, with its zones of (sound) amplitude and its hollows. Viewers are invited to map this space using their ears.
